Process Serving Increase

I have recently found that the amount of process serving we undertake has risen since the dreaded "Credit Crunch". This is always un-happy news for someone, but it does increase our workload, and makes you realise how bad things are. We have recently been instructed to serve injunctions upon various tenants in properties. There have been approximately 30 served over the past two weeks. They are only served when the tenant has not allowed contractors to attend their property to check the gas appliances and central heating in the property. This confuses me as to why they would not want these things checked, are people so worried they wont even let engineers in to check for safety.
I've just received another 10 this morning, so better get them served.
