We all know that passwords hold the key to sensitive information including documents, financial data and other personal information that you would not want anybody else to have access to, so why do people continue to use weak or easily guessed passwords to “protect” their sensitive information?
One possible reason for people choosing weak password protection is that sometimes they are easy to remember, for example bank pin codes such as “1,2,3,4″ will not be hard for a criminal to work out if they clone or steal your card, in fact it would probably be the first attempt they make to access your finances.
Quite recently leading search engine Yahoo featured an article showing two seperate lists of 25 passwords that are commonly used and that have also fallen victim to being hacked. They included the below;
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
All the above will not take long for a criminal to work out or at least try, other improtant tips are not to use personal passwords such as family names, pets, date of birth etc style passwords, again anybody who knows you that may want to attempt to get access could easily know this type of information or even to a complete stranger who potentially picks up your wallet this information could be given away in forms of ID, photos etc
In the current financial climate more people are turning to crime than ever before, lots of people out of desperation so it is wise to be on your guard at all times and ensure that your sensitive information, finances and anything else personal to you remains safe.
Saturday 19th November saw the gathering of members of the World Association of Private Investigators and other professionals related to the industry such as journalists. The day and evening events were on the whole enjoyed by the majority of attendees with a mix of guest speakers and entertainers throughout the day and night.
It was great to see members of WAPI from eleven different countries in attendance which really did hit home to amount of multiculturism in our organisation, it was also very satisfying to see lots of private investigators from so many different countries coming together and participate in speaking one combined language of investigation.
As well as the day’s morning and afternoon sessions that were hosted by guest speakers, the event offered a great mix of networking, fine food and drink, raffles, magician and music for everybody to enjoy.
The next annual banquet of WAPI will be in 2012, it will be great to see even more attendees enjoying the occasion!
Over the past 30 years we have seen the private investigator industry change many times, technological advances, criminal methods and of course the nature of enquiries and services we provide have also evolved to ensure we can cater for all requirements.
Insight have noticed that over the past few years that a lot of private female clients have required our services but specifically requested to deal with female private investigators. When dealing with any private investigator or detective agency it is for certain that you have a problem that requires the upmost sensitivity and an element of trust, so of course we feel it is only natural that females with perhaps matrimonial problems may feel more secure when dealing with a female private investigator.
It is not just our industry that needs to provide female staff and operatives to deal with female enquiries, in every day life doctors, nurses and many other professions also provide the same services to make their client feel more confident and secure whilst safe in the knowledge they are dealing with a professional who can help with their situation.

It has been a somewhat eye opening week here at Insight after the installation of some new click and website profiling software that offers the benefits of analysing website traffic and improving our overall service throughout the site to our clients and visitors alike.
Quite surprisingly we have found through the software that our paid Google advertising campaigns have been under what you could only call fraudulent attack from competitors who have happily been clicking away on our ads for lots of search term variations.
As a reputable private investigator and detective agency, Insight do not condone actions that can financially harm a company, albiet a competitor and welcome with upon arms private investigators into the industry that work in an above board manner. This type of behaviour does not help individual private investigators or private detective agencies alike in anyway, if we are falling victim to this type of underhand behaviour then we are sure other companies within the industry are too.
Hopefully with Google aware of the situation this matter will be swiftly resolved and give everybody in the industry a fair chance or getting legitimate website traffic, not competitor clicks to waste valuable revenue and our time!
